Lancashire Teenage Pregnancy Team
Lancashire County Council employs a team of 6 to manage and deliver the Lancashire Teenage Pregnancy Strategy.
On behalf of the teenage Pregnancy Partnership Board the team lead the local co-ordination, development, implementation, monitoring and review of the Lancashire Teenage Pregnancy Strategy and Action Plans and wider Sexual Health Strategy. The team work closely with key stakeholders including 12 local councils, the 3 Primary Care Trusts, Lancashire County Council, and other key county and local partners to take a lead role in the on-going development and implementation of the Teenage Pregnancy Strategy and develop it further to encompass a wider sexual health strategy for young people.
The team work with a range of agencies at local level, to identify other strategies and funding sources that share targets with, or could contribute to the Teenage Pregnancy and Sexual Health Strategies. The team aim to ensure that Teenage Pregnancy is integrated into relevant local plans, and encouraging and influencing agencies to reshape their services in ways that support Lancashire Teenage Pregnancy and the wider sexual health targets.
